WARRANTY
What are your warranty terms & conditions?

RoadScan Canada products include a six-month limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, provided the equipment has been properly installed and operated. Warranty claims are subject to review and approval by RoadScan Canada Inc.

Damage caused by misuse, improper installation, unauthorized modification or use contrary to the product instructions may not be covered under warranty.

For products using an SD card, regular reformatting of the card is recommended to maintain reliable operation. Failure to properly maintain the SD card may affect warranty coverage if it contributes to a product failure.
WHAT IS YOUR LEAD TIME?
Most orders are processed and shipped within 3–14 business days, depending on product availability. Lead times may occasionally be longer due to manufacturer delays, carrier disruptions, weather or other circumstances beyond our control.
SHOULD I RECORD VEHICLE NUMBERS FOR MY GPS UNITS?
Yes. We strongly recommend keeping a record of which GPS unit is assigned to each vehicle. This makes it easier to identify vehicles and drivers, manage billing and provide technical support when needed.
Your invoice will include the identifying information for each GPS unit, but RoadScan Canada may not know which specific vehicle each unit has been installed in. Keeping your own vehicle-to-device records will make future support much faster and easier.
WHAT SD CARD SHOULD I USE IN MY DASH CAMERA?

Use a high-quality Class 10 or higher SD card with a storage capacity supported by your specific camera. RoadScan Canada recommends using the SD card supplied with your camera whenever possible.
Before using a different SD card, check your product manual for the recommended card type and maximum supported capacity, as requirements vary by camera model.

RETURNS
What is your return policy?

Returns of non-defective products may be accepted with prior approval from RoadScan Canada Inc. Please contact us before returning any product to obtain authorization and return instructions. Approved returns may be subject to a 10% restocking fee, and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

What if my product is defective?

RoadScan Canada products include a six-month limited warranty for defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. If you believe your product is defective, please contact us so we can troubleshoot the issue and determine the appropriate warranty solution.
Do you provide refunds?

Refunds for approved returns are based on the product purchase price, less any applicable restocking fee. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
COLLISION SUPPORT
What collision support does RoadScan Canada provide?

RoadScan Canada customers receive direct collision support when an incident occurs. We can help review available camera footage and incident information to help you understand what happened and identify relevant evidence.

This support is provided at no additional charge to the original purchaser for as long as they own the camera.

When a collision requires formal engineering analysis or expert collision reconstruction, RoadScan Canada works with Crashtec Canada to provide access to professional collision reconstruction services.
These specialized services are separate and may involve additional fees.

How long is collision support included with my camera purchase?

Collision support from RoadScan Canada is included for as long as the original purchaser owns the camera.
WHAT IF MY CAMERA STOPS WORKING?
If you have a dash camera:
First, restart the camera and check the SD card. Many dash camera issues are caused by the memory card rather than the camera itself. Try reformatting the SD card according to the instructions in your product manual, then restart the camera.

If the problem continues, press the camera's reset button as described in the manual. We recommend using only the type and capacity of SD card specified for your particular camera.

If you have a body camera:
Turn the camera off and restart it. If the problem continues, use the reset function as described in your product manual. Some models may also have a factory-reset option in the camera's settings menu.

If these steps don't resolve the problem, contact RoadScan Canada. We're here to help troubleshoot the issue and get your camera working again.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REFORMAT MY SD CARD?
We recommend reformatting your dash camera's SD card approximately once every 30 days. Regular reformatting helps maintain reliable recording performance and can prevent errors caused by fragmented or corrupted files.
Always follow the instructions in your camera's product manual, as reformatting procedures may vary by model.

WHAT IF I DON'T REFORMAT MY SD CARD REGULARLY?

Over time, continuous recording can cause an SD card to develop file errors or become corrupted. This may result in missing recordings, recording errors or the camera failing to recognize the card.

Regular reformatting helps keep the SD card functioning properly and reduces the risk of recording problems. Because SD cards wear over time, they should also be replaced if they begin showing errors or unreliable performance.

For commercial dash cameras, we recommend reformatting the SD card approximately every 30 days.
